Photographer (Age: 30 to 45) – Bookish, awkward, and meek, the Photographer is more comfortable taking photos of people than communicating with them. He is extremely risk averse and non-confrontational, and his favorite part of his job is being in the dark room, alone.
Hunters - Short, Fat and Tall (Age: 30 to 75) – A group of Eastern European, Borscht Belt sportsmen who, despite living in the United States of America, only adhere to the laws and customs of their native land. *Men and women
Diner Patron (Age: 38 to 50) – Earnest and lonely, the Patron is driving through Shandaken after being scammed by a group of teenagers in a false mail order bride scheme.
Waiter (Age: 35 to 75) – A reliable, career server at the County’s most upscale steakhouse. He takes pride in his job and is a skilled server who can garnish table side with a flourish.
Paperboy/girl (Age: 5 to 10) – A young scamp straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting, that delivers newspapers on his bike each morning. *Must be comfortable riding a bike
The entire Mid-Hudson Valley has been seeing a lot of film production with much more on the way.
Two films, UNINTENDED and GREEN DOLPHIN, recently wrapped production in the region. Both productions were thrilled with the results and hope to come back for many more. We'll wrap it all up at the end of July and give you a sneak peak of things to come.

A feature film that may choose the Hudson Valley region to film in the fall is looking for a two story stone farmhouse in disrepair, preferably on a hill with a long driveway leading up to it, with mountains in the distance. An adjacent barn would be a bonus but they are willing to build if necessary. If you have anything that meets these requirements, please email a photo with contact info and we will pass it on to the production, which is currently considering several other regions.
Feature Film shooting in Fishkill area from Aug 7-25 is urgently looking for a Unit Production Manager. Send resumes and queries to Jade Porter at plainjade@gmail.com
The Hudson Valley Film Commission is currently working on five film productions in the region, including GREEN DOLPHIN... Read about it in Hollywood Reporter exclusive...

ELLENVILLE – Production manager Patrick Eaton is professional, as is Sabine Schenk, the producer he's working with on the film they started shooting in Ellenville Monday morning, Unintended. The two usually work in New York City, helping European productions navigate the complexities of shooting in our nation's largest city. She's German, his family's French. Their background is impressive, working on everything from photo shoots and commercials to academy award winning movies such as The Reader.
Unintended is written and directed by Anja Murmann, an NYU film school graduate who got to know Upstate New York after her first short film played the Woodstock Film Festival. Her first feature, Fifteen Months in May, won "Best New Director – Special Mention " at the San Sebastian International Film Festival. The two stars are Elizabeth Lail, who starred as Anna in television's Once Upon A Time, and plays Natalie on The Blacklist, and Sean Cullen, a Broadway actor with extensive film and television credits.

Tom Cherwin has written two one-act comedies, together comprising an hour and a half of, with any luck, entertainment. The plays are going to be performed at Frank Marquette's Chocolate Arts Factory, 54 Elizabeth Street, Red Hook, on Friday, July 14, at 8 p.m.; Saturday, July 15, at 8; and Sunday, July 16, at 3.
The cast members are the talented and locally well-known actors Chris Bailey, Ron Morehead, Linda Reznick, and Dorothea Swiac, plus Mr. Cherwin. The shows have been directed by Mr. Cherwin, his brother Ric, and NYC director Susanne Traub.
Many of you will be busy or uninterested, or even averse; that's showbiz. But if those of you who are interested, and who think you'll be able to attend, could make reservations by June 29, you'd be doing a solid for all involved (if you're not sure which date'll work for you, no problem--reservations for one performance can be changed later to another date that weekend). Here's why I'm asking: If enough people reserve by June 29, Mr. Marquette will give the shows at least three additional performances.
To reserve, either call the box office at (845) 475-7973 or go to www.artsatthefactory.com. Tickets are $20.
Any questions or complaints (such as wondering why you received two copies of this email, or why the hell you received even one copy of it, or why you didn't receive any at all--in which case, actually, you won't know the difference), feel free to email me at tomcherwin@gmail.com or to call me at (845) 246-1710.
